Program "Nork", an international charitable program  helping children from different countries with heart diseases, has been operating  in Nork- Marash Medical Center, since September 1998. A certain budget is annually allocated to implement this program by our Center  providing assessment and treatment to 15 patients. Under this program, we are already working with the Ministry of Healthcare, various CIS Children's Funds, particularly  the Russian Foundation helping children with cardiovascular diseases, as well as the International Association of Children's Funds, and a number of charitable  and church organizations.

This program has received the blessing of the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and Pope John Paul II. 57 sick children from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Belarus, Tajikistan and Syria have been examined and operated on under this program.

When selecting patients special attention is paid to the children  who were previously denied surgical treatment  in other clinics. Refusal of surgical treatment plays a crucial role in the life of the child and his family, so it is very important for  the parents of such children to have the conclusion of experts from different cardiac centers.

Under the program, all expenses associated with the medical examination, surgery, and stay in hospital are covered by the Centre. The center  provides not only the transportation of the patient, but also food and accommodation.

For detailed information, please contact the coordinator of the Center for  International Programs.

The program is currently suspended. The Nork program  is completely funded by the Center. Should you like to become a sponsor of this program to help children with congenital heart diseases, we would be happy to discuss the possibility of cooperation.
